Junior English
The school
Our summer English classes for Juniors are held at Queens Avenue, Clifton, which is about 10 minutes’ walk from our main building. Students who study here will stay with host families in the nearby area. This course is offered for students aged 12 - 17 years old. (Please contact us if you are enquiring on behalf of under-12s. 11 year olds may be able to join as an exception).
There are eight different levels, each class with comfortable seating, a whiteboard and movable furniture so class groups can be constantly varied. There will also be access to computers with Internet access so you can stay in touch with your family and friends. The school is located in a very pleasant area of Bristol with nearby access to sports facilities.
Due to our experience we recommend the school, we have very good reviews from the students in the past, is located in the best area of Bristol where we are based and the host families are supervised and carefully selected.

The course and fun activity programme
Our English Classes for Teens, held over the summer, offer the best possible combination for teenage learners: excellent classroom teaching, friendly enjoyable classes, a good mixture of nationalities and a fantastic social programme of afternoon and evening activities.
Your English classes are from 9.15am to 12.35pm every morning. You will learn from our own specially written study booklets that are designed specifically for teenagers. Every lesson covers a different topic so you can be sure we will include many different areas in a two-week or three-week programme.
Your lessons will include phrase of the day, fun activities, songs and review of earlier English language lessons in the week. Our Project 100 in every classroom guarantees that every group will learn at least 100 new words and phrases every week.
Every two weeks, each group chooses an English song that they like, learns, studies and practices it and then performs the song in our Friday-afternoon talent show. This is a good way to find out more about your fellow teenage students´ favorite music and artists.
On our junior social programme you will get a varied selection of afternoon activities every day and evening events like discos, karaoke, skating, circus skills or bowling.
We have an afternoon excursion to places of interest such as Weston Super-Mare Beach, The SS Great Britain, At Bristol, Bristol Zoo or the City of Bath.
On Saturdays and some Sundays, there are whole-day trips to London, Cardiff, Oxford, Warwick castle and exciting local destinations like Wells or Cheddar.Excursions include a guided tour by the accompanying teachers and visits to places of interest in the city or town being visited.
All of these social opportunities will give you the chance to make the most of your time in Bristol, see more of the UK and practice the English you will learn whilst you are with us on our summer course.
