First Step In UK can help you achieve this. We offer English courses to prepare for the Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE and CPE exams. You can choose a 10-week course including the cost of the exam, or in summer a 4-week course including the cost of the exam to take it in Bristol. If you prefer to take a course of more than 10 or 4 weeks, simply contact us to confirm the desired dates.

The 4-week intensive preparation course for the Cambridge English Exam (FCE and CAE only) is offered once a year between July and August.

Course Objectives

Both the 10-week and the 4-week courses help students improve their knowledge in different areas (reading, writing, speaking and listening), review and strengthen their grammatical knowledge and improve their vocabulary with lexicon and structures relevant to the given exam. We intend to maximize the chances of passing the exam and getting the highest grade possible.

There is an emphasis on exam strategy that we believe students should adopt, to do this we focus on exam practice to help familiarize you with the exam format.

	20 morning class (45 minutes for class)
	8 afternoon class (45 minutes for class)
	12 students max.

We prepare our students for the Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE and CPE (proficiency) exams, groups must have a minimum number of students. Along with the General English morning classes, there are 10 afternoon Cambridge exam preparation classes.

These classes will help you:

	Practice the different tasks that you have to do for each part of the exam.
	Learn personal strategies to perform tasks more efficiently.
	Organize your learning.

Educational Programming

There is a separate course schedule for Cambridge exams. This one focuses on:

	Topics that frequently appear in exams.
	The different exercises in the written part of the Cambridge exams.
	Practice of the reading, oral and listening parts.
	The most necessary grammar, vocabulary and functional language for the exercises that are required in the exam.

The content and focus of our classes for the Cambridge exam preparation course is divided, for the 10-week course, General English classes in the morning and exam preparation in the afternoon; For the 4-week summer course, both morning and afternoon classes are exam preparation.

Free Extras

As part of the Cambridge exam preparation course we also include the following extras:

	Free books both the one used in the morning and in the afternoon.
	An extra practice oral exam closer to your exam date.
	Other practice tests and other Cambridge Exams materials that you can use in the study hall between 4pm - 6pm, Monday to Thursday, where you can also ask questions regarding Cambridge exams.
	Regular help with pronunciation.
	Suggestions on how to learn more effectively.
	Study hall from Monday to Friday from 15:05 to 17:00 with a tutor available for one hour after classes, Cambridge exam test practice every Friday afternoon with your group or choose instead, the Conversation Club.
